I have been a resident in Hertfordshire for 22 years and have been an active member of cricket in both coaching and playing form across both Hertfordshire and Essex.
I attended the Leventhorpe School for 8 years, where I studied Maths, Business Studies, Geography and History at A level before moving on to the University of Hertfordshire to study a BA degree in Marketing, where I was a regular member of the 1st XI cricket squad. During my time at University I would spend my summers coaching on the Chance To Shine programme in local schools and ran successful summer camps and workshops alongside international players.
In 2009 I completed my level 2 coaching badge which has enabled me to coach on both "Area" and "Sub-County" training programmes in the Herts and Essex region.
As a direct result of the coaching I completed in 2010, I was awarded the "Hertfordshire Young Coach Of The Year" award and also nominated for a Natwest Cricket force OSCA (Outstanding Services to Cricket Award)
In playing terms, I currently open the bowling for Sawbridgeworth CC 1st XI in the Home Counties Premier League Div 2 after working my way up through the junior and senior teams, including a season as 2nd XI captain. I have also played in a number of Invitational XI matches across the South-East.
